I have a dear African-American friend who considers herself a true Christian. She is well educated and articulate. According to her, she researched through articles and such that it is not true that America was founded under Christian values. That most of our founding fathers were Atheists and Deists. There were a few Christians, but not all. She believes that establishing Christianity in America is equals to taking freedom away from people who don’t believe like us. I’m not shaken by her comments, but I don’t know enough of our history or where to seek truth to help her despair. She fears racism and oppression. Please help me pray for this woman who needs faith in the infallible word of God to trust in Him.
